6 Lansdowne Road St Kilda Melbourne

March 2004 - Information update.
Rosey Haas the former owner of the house has kindly confirmed that the house number was number 6 Lansdowne Road and not number 7 as previous thought.
Rosey also kindly informed me that number 6 along with no. 8 & 10 have been pulled down and new houses have been built on the site.

Although this part of Rock history appears to have been lost in the cause of re-development of the area , the council of St Kilda, Melbourne has comtemplated putting up some kind of plaque.

In March 2004 I also had it confirmed by a very reliable source that the image of the house was indeed the house that the band stayed at briefly.

6 Lansdowne Road (not number as shown in the article) was the home of AC/DC 1973-75 a den of depravity where the band lived and worked on the songs from the early albums that would catapult the band to International stardom.

Current owner of the house Rosie-Haas moved into the house about two years ago and neighbours informed her of the house's place in rock history.

For a detailed report on the house Click here.

Details of the house that the Youngs used to stay in Sydney was recently posted in the newsgroup it seems that the house shown in the Australian television documentary "It's a long way to the top" has now become a house with a dubious background now.
The house was listed as 4 Burleigh St, Burwood, Sydney
