The show titled "Pioneers" will air from January on Channel 4.

Powerage v Geordie II
The concert of UK tribute band Powerage in Newcastle clashes with the Geordie gig.

Unknown to the Brian Johnson/Geordie management the forthcoming Newcastle Geordie gig falls on the same night as a concert by a local AC/DC tribute band. It will be a case of a tribute band contesting against their hero for a crowd on the 28th September. (For more details click here)

The double CD soundtrack to the Australian Television documentary on Australian music has been released. Despite AC/DC being featured on the fourth episode of the ABC documentary , they don't appear on the track listing for the album. The Twisted Sister tribute album "Twisted Forever" has now been released, the album features Twisted Sister doing a cover version of AC/DC's "Sin City"

Shania Twain the wife of former AC/DC producer Mutt Lange gave birth to a baby boy Eja (pronounced Asia) on August 12.


It appears that AC/DC's Brian Johnson is a bit of a fan of the artist Marsha Hammel as he is listed as a collector of her work in her biography. For more details Click here

Systematic have recorded a version of AC/DC's 'Overdose, with Metallica's Lars Ulrich on drums. There are no plans to release this version, but it's bound to surface sooner or later.

Some Scottish newspapers have reported that Pop band 5ive have used a sample of AC/DC's Back In Black in their track "Lay All Your Loving On Me" which is to appear on their forthcoming new album on August 27th.

Cliff Williams performs with Hayseed Dixie At the request of AC/DC's Cliff Williams the band "Hayseed Dixie" performed their unique country versions of AC/DC songs at an end of tour wrap party at Cliff's Mountain retreat in the East Coast of USA.
Cliff later joined Hayseed Dixie on stage for a rendition of "Have a drink on me".

Kirriemuir Museum update

Thanks to the efforts of Sam Horsburgh of (Albert Records) / and Crabsody in Blue , the museum is in the process of documenting and filing exciting new exhibits relating to Bon Scott.

Pride of place is an archive photograph of Bon Scott dating back to when he attended Reform Street School, Kirriemuir , the picture was very kindly donated by Bon's mum (Mrs Isa Scott).

This picture is exclusive to the museum and can only be seen by visiting the museum itself.

Australia television company ABC are currently showing a series of shows documenting the history of Australian Rock music. The working title of the show is "Long Way to the Top" with the shows name taken from the classic AC/DC anthem "It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock n roll".

Record label Metal Mayhem are releasing a re-mastered cd of Adam Bomb's 1985 album Fatal Attraction. The album of course features Cliff Williams guesting on the track "I want my Heavy Metal"
