Bon Scott with Mark Evans Despite being annoyed at the Rock Hall of Fame for the way in which he was intially listed for induction and then unceremonious dropped from the induction list, Mark Evans is chuffed to hear that his former band-mates are being inducted. In an online interview at Undercover.com.au Mark had the following to say.

"I am absolutely thrilled for the band to finally make it into the Hall of Fame"

"It is something the band really deserves. I was really quite chuffed when I heard".

Highway to Hell - Epic K 80206-S1 As American fans will already now the first batch of Epic's remastered re-issues have been released in America. European fans are still awaiting the release but for the purpose of fans that have not purchased the cds yet. Here is a little bit of information on the connecteD bonus feature on the cds.

Each cd comes with a 16 page booklet and has its own special connecteD bonus area on the web site www.acdcrocks.com that can only be viewed when the user has a new Epic AC/DC cd in the cd-rom drive of there PC's.

Once connecteD and on the bonus section for the relevant CD , the user will have the facility to view tour dates of the related tour which were compiled by the author of the AC/DC web site www.ac-dc.net , read sleeve notes of the album, view exclusive photos from the relevant period of the band's history. Watch promo video clips of some of the tracks from the album and listen to bonus live versions of selected tracks from the album.

On the downside connecting to the site using a slow 56K modem takes a while , and to fully experience the benefits of the Bonus connecteD section for each CD , a broadband connection would be more beneficial.

In summary thou , I would recommend going out and buying at least one of the remastered CD's and judging for yourself. The sound is great , and for once a record company has done the band proud with the packaging and information on the CD's. If you buy one you will more and likely go back for another.
see also the Epic Remasters section for more details of the releases.

Also cover scans of the first batch of the albums are available to view at www.acdc-discography.com

The film "Final Destination 2" includes a reference to the AC/DC track "Highway to Hell". In the film the main female character is driving her and her 3 friends down the highway.
she keeps feeling like something bad is going to happen, so to take her mind off of it, she turns on the radio. The first station is about the 1 year anniversary of the plane crash, the second station she tunes to is playing "Highway To Hell".
