Casting has begun for the AC/DC Road Movie "Thunderstruck". The most prominent actor to be cast is Stephen Curry ("The Castle"). Newcomer, Jason Gann, star of the short film "Wilfred", has also won a part.

AC/DC - Live Wireless - 7 inch single unofficial - CCBGB's New York 1977 A limited number of highly collectable unofficial seven inch vinyl singles have recently been released. AC/DC live at CBGB's on the 24th August 1977. 7" RED vinyl (33rpm) containing "Live Wire" & "She's Got Balls" recorded live at the famous CBGB's club in New York. The release was limited to 100 copies in 7 different countries, with each country having its own unique cover.

Australian film distributor Smart Street Films are currently advertising the 1978 Australian film "In Search of Anna" as being availble on video. This film includes a soundtrack featuring AC/DC , Rose Tattoo.

Spanish production company Lolafilms are apparently working on a Spanish film called "Isi-Disi" , a comedy about the amorous foils of two university-aged brothers named AC and DC by their rocker dad, is set to feature cameos by AC/DC and Ricky Martin. The script is being written by Joaquin Gorriz and Miguel Angel Fernandez (Tiempo De Tormenta).

Mark Evans kicked in the teeth !!

Mark Evans Mark Evans - SMH 19/1/03 Despite previously being quoted alongside Bon Scott and the current members of AC/DC as one of the inductees for the 2003 Rock Hall of Fame. Mark Evans has now been snubbed by the organisers and he is no longer included in the list of inductees.

This u-turn by the Hall of Fame is despite the fact that Mark Evans was involved with the recording of the albums "High Voltage (worldwide version)" , "Dirty Deeds done dirt cheap" , "Let there be Rock" as well as the Australian versions of the albums "TNT" and "High Voltage".
For the record in the USA alone "Dirty Deeds" went Platinium in 1981 , "High Voltage" went Multi Platinum in 1993 and "Let there be Rock" went Multi Platinium in 1997.

For those about to rock Shania Twain has recently appeared on the front cover of the American magazine Rolling Stone wearing an AC/DC "For those about to Rock" T-shirt.
It may hardly be by coincidence as she is married to the producer of the album "Robert John "Mutt" Lange".

Also in Shania Twain' new video 'Up' there is a part where she looks like she is going through old clothes and she holds up a vintage ACDC t-shirt.



Shakira, the Colombian-born singer has been including a version of "Back in Black" during her live set at concerts in America.

Sony/Epic Records re-issue program begins in February with the re-release of the classic albums "Back In Black," "Live," "Highway To Hell," "High Voltage," "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" and "Live" (two CD collector's edition). Following in March and May will be "Who Made Who," "Let There Be Rock," "The Razor's Edge," "For Those About To Rock," "Powerage," "If You Want Blood You Got It," "Flick Of The Switch," "Fly On The Wall," "'74 Jailbreak" and "Blow Up Your Video."

Re-issue titles will feature restored album art, enhanced packaging -- including additional rare and historic photos -- new liner notes and comprehensive track information. In addition to premium packaging, each AC/DC title will include Sony's proprietary ConnecteD technology, which allows fans who purchase the disc to unlock exclusive content on a special Web site created specifically for the release.

Tommy Mottola The bizzness man that signed AC/DC to Sony , has re-signed. Tommy Mottola who recently was involved in Sony's acquisition of signing up AC/DC has left his post as Chairman and CEO of Sony Music Entertainment, despite still having two years of his contract to run.
