In a poll run by Virgin Radio in the UK in honour of Australian Day , AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" was voted the Best Australian single.
The top ten Australian tracks were.

  3. Men at Work – Down Under
  4. Rolf Harris – Jake The Peg
  5. Midnight Oil – Beds Are Burning

Thunderstruck by the Bay

Brian Johnson at the Thunder by the Bay event Saturday 11th January 2004 At the recent "Thunder by the Bay" - Bike Festival & charity event, Brian Johnson made a cameo appearance and joined the band on stage for a few songs , including a version of "You shook me all night long".

I was informed that the band that Brian performed with included members of the Stranger band but nowdays go under the title of the Greg Billings band.

AC/DC - Oct 16 1977 Dunstable Queensway Hall - Pictures wanted

It is a bit of a long shot , but I was contacted by a lady that is working on an Interactive CD connected with Freedie Mercury and Dunstable in England.
Syvl is trying to collate pictures relating to bands that have performed at the Queensway Hall in Dunstable.
AC/DC performed at the venue on the 16th October 1977 , if you have any related pictures or memorbelia from this concert or have photographs or other bands performing at the same venue then Syvl would be interested to hear from you.

According to a News report at icteesside.icnetwork.co.uk Brian Johnson is listed as performing at the Sunday For Sammy charity shows on Sunday, February 1st 2004, at 4pm and 8pm, at Newcastle City Hall.

The DVD release listed below has now been changed on Amazon for some unknown reason , but for reference here is the original details that were posted.

Listed on Amazon Canada and Amazon Japan is a DVD titled Back in Black - Interviews with a release date of January/February 2004.

The release is also listed at HMV Japan and BCi Eclipse
Precise details of this release are not known at the moment.



AC/DC Touchdown with Coors Light

AC/DC's "For those about to Rock" has been used in a Coors Light television advert for the American Football Superbowl.

AC/DC's album "Back in Black" is going to be featured on UK radio on the 24th January. The album will be featured on Stuart Maconie's Critical List BBC Radio Two

AC/DC are featured in the 2004 Guiness Book of World Records for their sales of the album "Back in Black"



Chris Slade has reportedly been performing at a few gigs in America with XYZ frontman Terry Ilous.

The Rolling Stones tour manager Michael Cohl has been quoted as saying that the entire SARS benefit rock concert on the 30th July 2003 , was recorded and a DVD release of the show is planned. All 13 performers (including the Rolling Stones, AC/DC & Rush) were recorded and should be included in the DVD, but it's not known if the entire concert will be released.
