AC/DC - Toronto 30th July 2003 AC/DC play in front of 450,000 music fans in a packed and sun-baked Downsview Park Toronto.
Angus and Malcolm join the Rolling stones on stage for "Rock me Baby".

Before the Rolling Stones, Australian rock band AC/DC whipped the crowd into a frenzy. The crowd grew louder with each tune in the band's set, which wrapped up with Let There Be Rock and Highway to Hell Lead guitarist Angus Young dropped his pants during the band's performance of The Jack and revealed a pair of Maple Leaf boxer shorts. Can't get no TV or Webcast Satisfaction

Despite the pre-concert hype of the Toronto concert going to be broadcasted live on MuchMoreMusic and live webcasts via www.cbc.ca

Fans were left disappointed has only a limited amount of footage per artist was broadcasted.
Even Toronto radio station Q107.com had a limited service of live material from the concert.

Toronto Rocks (Sarsstock) has kicked off and already the radio webcast has crashed , and that is even before Angus has started to put the schoolboy suit on.

According to a report on the Cranberries web site Zombieguide.com Dolores O'Riordan could be collaborating with Brian Johnson on his "Helen of Troy" project.

Toronto - 30th July - Concert line-up news
The nine-hour show will be broken down into two segments, one commencing at 1:30 p.m., and the other at about 5:45 p.m.

The first half features, in order: Montreal singer Sam Roberts, Ottawa's alt-country singer Kathleen Edwards, Quebec rock band La Cichane, Windsor, Ont. rock band Tea Party, Oklahoma alt-rockers the Flaming Lips, singer and Canadian Idol judge Sass Jordan with blues guitarist Jeff Healey, '50s gospel turned pop icons The Isley Brothers and Toronto-based folk-rockers Blue Rodeo.

The evening segment will feature 'N Sync's Timberlake, Winnipeg's rock idols The Guess Who, Toronto's Rush, Australia's metal favourites AC/DC and, to close the night, headliners The Rolling Stones.

Each segment will be introduced by Jim Belushi and Dan Aykroyd's Have Love Will Travel Revue.

An article in the July 2003 issue of the German rock magazine MetalHammer-Magazine (www.hammer-mag.de) has hinted at a possible early 2004 release date for the next AC/DC album

Toronto 2003 Ticket sales for the Stones / AC/DC Sars benefit concert in Toronto have been brisk with the Canadian branch of Ticketmaster reporting that sales through Ticketmaster were so hot in Canada that the ticket broker set a single-day record by selling its entire 150,000-ticket Canadian allotment.

Nothumbia Anthology The complete 20 CD Box set the Northumbia Anthology has now been released. The anthology celebrates the culture and traditional folk songs of the North East of England.

Brian Johnson is featured on the disc titled "Newcastle Songs Volume 2 - The Fiery Clock Fyece" (MWMCDSP40 ) performing the track "Byker Hill" (This disc is only available as part of the entire box set)

The Cranberries and AC/DC apparently got on well off-stage during the recent Germany gigs. An article on the unofficial Cranberries web site www.zombieguide.com/ quoted the official Cranberries autobiographer (Paul Russel) as saying
"I was in the Thai restaurant where Liam Gallagher had his teeth kicked in, and saw Dolores singing a song from a musical with Brian Johnson of AC/DC, who then told some of the rudest stories I've ever heard!

Mark Evans, former bass player for AC/DC and former Buffalo frontman Dave Tice will perform a fund raiser for a Sydney school later this month.

Tice and Evans will perform their acoustic blues set on July 25 to raise money for the Annandale North Public School at The Empire Hotel in Annandale.
