Bon Scott honoured in Kirriemuir Museum

Kirriemuir Museum, Angus , Scotland In the town where Bon Scott was born a newly opened museum "Kirriemuir - Gateway to the Glens" has recently opened.

The museum contains information on the town of Kirriemuir Scotland and the famous people that where born in the town.

The museum is currently looking to increase its exhibits relating to the Late Bon Scott and would like to hear from any Bon Scott or AC/DC fan that may have relevant information on Bon's early childhood or early pictures of Bon Scott.

If anyone can help then they can either contact the museum at kirriegateway@angus.gov.uk
or you could contact myself at this web site and I will pass the information on as I stay nearby to the museum.

For further details on the museum click here.

McVeigh A Dallas radio station was slated and received numerous complaints after using an advert featuring Satan administering a lethal injection to Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. The radio station for some reason included a reference to "Highway to Hell AC/DC". AC/DC have no connection to either the radio station or Timothy McVeigh.

One of Brian Johnson's favourite bands, Florida based Neurotica have become the first rock band to sign to Smackdown Records, owned by the World Wrestling Organisation. The band are currently working on a new album, which will include a song called 'I Feel (Down)'.

Despite some online reports the track 'I Feel (Down)' was not co-written by the band. To quote singer Kelly Shaefer "the truth is that Brian did not write this tune, or co-write it, but he did produce the original version that appears on our 1998 album SEED.
He has been a great friend and mentor to the band and we are grateful, that's for sure"

As well as prododucing Neurotica's 1998 album, Brian Johnson did write and sing on the track Deadly Sin from the Seed album.

Further details of the Neurotica's 1998 album 'Seed' and the track Deadly sin can be found by Clicking here

The album can also be purchased at 101 CD

What gig was the Kerrang reporter at ?
The current issue of the Kerrang magazine includes a review of AC/DC's concert at Milton Keynes.

However the reporter a Mr Winwood seems to have been at a different concert to the rest of us.

If you were at the gig perhaps you would like to share your concert experience with Mr Winwood of Kerrang by contacting him at kerrang@ecm.emap.com
