Celine Dion and Anastacia performed a version the AC/DC track "You Shook me all night long" during the VH-1 Divas , Las Vegas concert.

Swedish radio station Rock Klassiker has sensationally banned all English rock music from its playlists in the build up to the Sweden v England football match in the World Cup. However the station has made AC/DC exempt from this ban as the station has taken the view that band is of Australian origin. Several listeners to the station did point out that Brian and Cliff were actually born in England.

TotalRock.com Radio are broadcasting a special feature on AC/DC's career (you can listen online)
Which will be part of "The Psycholopedia of Rock" show this Sunday 26th May night (midnight-3am UK time which is 7pm-10pm EST).

A cover version of AC/DC's "Dirty Deeds done dirt cheap" performed by the Australian band "You am I" (with Tex Perkins of Cruel Sea) is featured on the Soundtrack to the new Australian shot film Dirty Deeds.

The soundtrack also features a cover version of the Easybeats track "Made My Bed, Gonna Lie In It".

Cliff Williams is the guest musician on the album "San" by the Euro-American band "Emir & Frozen Camels".

Euro-American band “Emir & Frozen Camels” is pleased to announce that, for the first time in 25 years, AC/DC bass player Cliff Williams is playing with another band!

Having heard the band’s demo songs, Mr. Cliff Williams has decided to join a couple of other famous guys (Elliott Randall, who played with Joan Baez, Blues Brothers and Steely Dan Band, blueser Danny Shepard, and guys the from "Emir & Frozen camels") and play as the guest bass player on the new "Emir & Frozen Camels" album "San".

A tribute AC/DC album titled ‘Bon Appetite’ PER11026 (A Tribute to Bon Scott Years of AC/DC) is planned for release and features Derek St. Holmes (Ted Nugent Vocalist), Jason McMaster, Tommy Paris (Britny Fox), Rick Ruhl (E.M.N.), Dave Evans (1st Ac/Dc Vocalist), and members of E.M.N., Cherry St. & Mad Margritt.

Also due out in June is the American release of the Dave Evans album "A Hell of a night".

AC/DC recently donated a signed microphone to a charity auction held by Shure Microphones.
This Shure U2/Beta 58 Wireless Microphone Transmitter was autographed by AC/DC at their April 2001 performance at Chicago's United Center.

Angus style protests at the French election.

One protester at the French Elections caused a bit of a stir by dressing up like Angus Young. The following news snipet from CNN tells the story.

A voter in his 50s also turned up at the station dressed like a schoolboy, wearing shorts and a cap, saying "they told us on television to turn up correctly dressed and I decided to copy the style of Angus Young" -- the lead guitarist of Australian hard rock group AC/DC famous for hits like "Highway to Hell."
