Monday 31st October 40 Years of Tyne Tees Pop Monday 7th November, 6.00pm, FREE EVENT This free event treats you to the best pop performances from Tyne Tees Television’s film archives. Sit back and rock to four decades of live gems and rare interviews that include The Animals preaching their R+B gospel in Rehearsal Room, a pre AC/DC Brian Johnson flexing his tonsils on Geordie Scene, Lindisfarne in their first documentary, and rarely seen TV debuts for the Police and Dire Straits on Alright Now. On hand will be a panel of guest producers and backroom boffins who helped shape pop TV history in the North East, including internationally renowned director Gavin Taylor (Queen, U2), leading DVD producer Jill Sinclair (Live Aid, Live8) and top music rights expert Peter McArthur. Hosted by award-winning pop historian Chris Phipps.
