However, they didn't play "Satellite Blues".....Didn't I see on an earlier post that this was once part of the set? Or am I mistaken? I do have to admit....I felt like "Safe In New York City" and "Hard As A Rock" were the two downers of the show.....This is just my opinion guys, so NO NEED TO FLAME ME!!! "Shot Down In Flames" was fucking incredible... I rate the show a "10"....Just like I KNEW I would....
Review by Dale
The show was OK - Angus is showing his age for sure.
The sound (or maybe the acoustics of the building) for this show 'sucked'.
If its at all possible to believe, the volume was way too loud. The levels
didn't seem set right - not a good mix of the instruments against each other vs
vocals. It just didn't sound good at all - very difficult to hear the vocals
clearly. You heard them but I think lots of things were overdriven.
They really should stop Biloxi from hosting concerts - the Missisippi Gulf Coast
Colliseum is a total joke of a venue. Talk about backwater. Comming from I-10,
there are numerous ways of getting to the Colliseum - but the signs from I-10
direct you down this winding 2-lane road through neighborhoods with 25mph speed
limits, several turns and weaves and lots of left and rights where its easy to
get lost if you don't already know the way - (and the folks using this method
probably don't know the way). I went that way just to see if it was better than
my usual exit at Gulfport and drive the 4-lane to the coast and then the 4 lane
along the coast all at around 40-60mph. Thats the last time I do that.
Probably the last time I see anything at the Collesium. Then there is the
parking - $3 per car - and what do you get for the $3? Squat. No one inside
directing cars to the parking spaces - oh no- you really have to hunt for the
empty corner. Of course exiting almost took longer than the show - probably the
same force of 5 men directing traffic out... they must make a killing on that
parking fee. Advice: PARK ON THE BEACH - then walk accross the highway and into
the colliseum - you park quicker and you damn sure get out quicker - and its
free.
