DECORATIVE ARTS AND FURNITURE, FINE JEWELLERY AND WATCHES, AUSTRALIAN AND EUROPEAN PAINTINGS OVER THREE EVENINGS - APRIL 10TH, 11TH AND 12TH 2006 AC/DC MEMORABILIA BON SCOTT’S PERSONAL ITEMS & RARE AC/DC 1974 VINYL TEST PRESSING TO BE AUCTIONED ON APRIL 12TH 2006
Since their debut in late 1973, AC/DC has sold over 90 million albums world wide, placing them in the top 5 highest selling rock groups in American history, signifying the extent of their international popularity and acclaim. Bon Scott fronted the band from 1974 until his death in 1980, when AC/DC was at its peak of fame and popularity, and Bon has since then been forever remembered as one of the most charismatic and legendary front men of all time. The items up for auction have been provided by Bon Scott’s ex-wife, Irene, and are from a collection of extremely intimate and personal effects. These include Bon’s shaving mirror, in a black vinyl zip case bearing his name, a photo album with approximately 75 black and white and colour photographs, including wedding and family shots of Bon and Irene, and a collection of cards and letters written by Bon containing personal thoughts and emotions during the final years of his life. Another very special item up for auction is a 1974 AC/DC vinyl test pressing of High Voltage with the original 1st track being Jailbreak not Little Lover which was released on the 1975 Dirty Deeds album.
