Im a big fan of ac/dc my dad told me that bon scott pass't away he is a greats great singer.
Ryan wright from Rossville GA

Bon Scott was the best AC/DC singer then Brian Johnson. I liked its a long way to the top and the bonfire discs. I wish he didn't die. I mean he had awesome vocals and great bagpipe skills. My favorite songs of his are It's a Long Way To the Top, Jailbreak, and his version of Back in Black. He rocked!!!!!!!!!!!
Seth Rowland from Kentucky

Aye Bon...
I've never met you but I've grown up with your kick-arse music. I got my first High Voltage album back in the 70’s when I was 10 and loved the REAL music and lyrics, and have ever since. All friends & family were shocked to hear you gone, but lead to a better place, I wonder? Through the years, I've been getting in touch with my musical side through AC/DC's music. Run into Mark Evans in Sydney some months ago and catchin up on tour stories. I believe Angus is roamin round our coastline and knows some friends of mine. And even, to my surprise, a long lost relative engineered AC/DC's music (Brian Johnson), how so rippin', so I've got some catchin up to do. Ya did a lot of good mate and I respect ya for it.
Ride On Bon & Rock In Peace. C’ya when I get there mate.
Cheers Mark Cicala, Sydney Australia

I remember hearing on the news in February 1980 that a person named Bon Scott, singer of AC/DC died. Sixteen years old and thinking that AC/DC was way too wild for me at the time, it didn't really hit home. Fast forward twenty-six years and lots of living, at 42 I am rediscovering your amazing talent, and at times shedding tears at the sheer tragedy of it all. Read the book they wrote about you, only wishing to choke some of the people I felt could have saved your life that cold February night. I listen to Powerage every day for some odd reason. I suppose I can relate to some of the lyrics. Brian Johnson will never truly replace you, although he has done ok, still not the same and never will be. While I will never get to see you, I will continue to dream about you, and hope to see you some day on the other side. Rock on, my Bonnie Scott!

Well my friend, all I can I do is thank you. You taught me about rock n' roll, and set the standard for how it should be done. For 12 years I've played in a Bon Scott - era AC/DC tribute band and have played hundreds of shows from all four corners of Canada. I've heard a thousand stories of what your music and lyrics have meant to countless fans, seen first hand the energy that erupts when YOUR songs are belted out to a thirsty and capacity crowd, and have had the priveledge of helping to spread the word about the brilliance of one of rock n' roll's most underated superstars. It has been an honor Sir, and I shall continue to play my part, so that yours can be heard. Maybe one of these days I'll change my evil ways... 'till then I'll just keep on...

More than anything else what always struck me about this amazing man was that he was the genuine article. He talked the talk but walked the walk and that's a helluva lot more than you can say about most. The master of the double entendre and overall terrific lyricist. Such a phenomenal voice, killer stage presence and the sly smirk that always seemed to adorn his face proved he loved what he did and did what he lived. Bon, you were the real deal. You are what modern day posers like Kid Rock so desperately want to be but shall never come close to being. A true man amongst boys. Every year on July 9th I raise a pint. Cheers forever, mate.
Abe from USA

Bon Scott; you'll always be the biggest man of rock. I just wish I had the chance to see you in concert. And so I give you these roses, as my way of saying, "Thank you for being the creator of the greatest songs in history. Thank you for 'signing your name in dust' in millions of hearts. But most of all, thank you for being Bon Scott." I'm sure it Is a Long Way to the Top, but remember, you created the path to get there. And with that, I would just like to say, "Ride On". You'll be missed, Bon Scott.

Bon for this disastrous day where you left us I have lost a friend,a brother,a confidant.you will remain engraved in my heart and in my memory,so that your heart lives until the end of time.Ride on Bon,an angel among the angels

God I still love you Bon! That voice, those words, the mannerisms, that smile: you taught me what sexy was, even before I knew myself. In '79 I was privledged to see you and thought you were so hot, but truth is I would not have known what to do with you. you were almost 2x my age, but I never thought of you as 'old' like I did Jagger. Nope, just hot Bon. Now I'm middle aged, and my son listens to and sings your songs. Someday if I become a grandmom, yes, even the grandchild will know who Bon Scott was and be able to sing along. I miss you more than ever, and I still want you - but now I do know a thing or two... I'll see you in heaven someday dear Bon. Rock on.

Yo Bon, the first time I ever herd AC/DC was about a year ago or when I was 13 and ... as soon as I herd "high voltage" i knew I just had to hear more. Your probably the greatest vocalist I've ever herd and your song are sweet as hell. My friends don't see why I'm in love with AC/DC, they all think I'm "overly obsessed" but they just don't see it. So from every AC/DC fan in the world and America.. keep rockin on, and god bless.
Chris Wagner, Warren Michigan

There will never be a singer quite like you again! I wish that I was able to see you in concert as a youngster. The sadest thing about your death is what incredible music you could have continued making with the boys from down under for the last 25 years! You are not replaceable! Enjoy rocking up there with Jimmi,Stevie,Janice,Curt,John and others. What a band! God bless and baby please dont go!

Hard to beleive that it is really 25 years already. I remember sitting at home getting ready to go to school that fateful morning, we were told on the radio that you had passed away, I being only 15 years old that time burst into tears at the thought that you had gone. I still remember every year that passes and I will NEVER forget. You were and still are THE ORIGINAL AC/DC VOCALIST for me and no one will ever replace you (no disrespect to bj, he's done one helluva job for the last 25 years). The world is sadder place without you and i would have loved to have seen and heard you now. They say time is a great healer but the pain never leaves and is like an itch you can't scratch. I first heard you in 1978, I loved you then and I love you even more now, you're a gifted person who never got the chance to really enjoy the fruits of your labour. SLEEP TIGHT PAL, GOD BLESS, AND RIDE ON!!!!!!!!!

I shall never forget the day, early in the morning it was, when my mother waked me up shouting "Bon is dead! Bon is dead!". I was still attending public school at the time. 25 years later I still think often on Bon, regularly play my AC/DC records and so does my mother - favourably on the phone when we're talking. Well, it's another sad story with Bon. What can you say really.
Erich from Switzerland

You will always live in our hearts, thank you for giving the rhytm to the real rock n roll, ride on my friend.

I was too young to go and see AC/DC when you last played the Liverpool Empire in Nov 1979. I was getting into AC/DC at the time, because of your brilliant voice and lyrics and great songs. I was so sad when you died in the following February. AC/DC have never been the same without you. I can't believe its 25 years ago. Each anniversary of your death makes me sad. God Bless Bon, you were the greatest.

I hope i meet you, when my time comes to "ride on" !!!
Gerd from Germany

Dear Bon Scott, I wrote this poem for you.

Men who used to dance and sing
on stage with the band all the time,
sometimes may have a drink or two
to relieve the stress piled in their mind.

It just so happened one night
Bon Scott fell drank a bit too much,
he fell asleep in a friend's car
and wouldn't awake when his friend tried
to wake him and such.

So she left him there
in a drunken sleep for the night,
went into her house
hoping he'd be allright.

But when she came out later
to check on dear old Bon,
it appeared he had not moved,
for Ronald Belford Scott had passed on."

We'll never forget you, Bon Scott. AC/DC has never been the same without you.
Andrew McDonald (13 Years Old) from Newfoundland, Canada

I think you have the best voice in Rock 'n' Roll, I often wonder what would have happened if you were still here with us. Rock In Peace Bon.

Dude AC/DC rocks man, Bon was the frontman of the greatest band in history. He was the best vocalist ive ever heard. Bon was a bad boy. When my band get started i hope were half the bad asses Bon was. Now adays rock sucks, it not about sex, drugs and life on the road, its about being a bunch of posers and wannabees. Back when AC/DC ruled the world fronted by Bon rock n roll was good and loud. I think if Bon was stil alive hed have beaten the crap out of every band now. I cant stand it and Bons probably lookin up at people like me and thinking damn right. To the family of Bon and friends: Bon was the greatest singer to ever grace a microphone, to have even known him was a honor. And as Bon Scott said himself, Ride On and Rock In Peace.

To a fellow scot, you changed the direction of so many in heart and in mind. ACDC have many followers across the globe, Christ, your following in Canada alone ...outstanding. ACDC brought something no other rock band did, what is it about the band, the sound is unmistakable and the energy unfortgettable, Mr Johnson may well be doing a good job,and I applaud him :o)... but there will only ever be one Bon Scott. Twenty four years after the day you slipped away ....your still larger than life, Rockin on forever...

What a voice, what a loss. I hope you're enjoying jamming with Jimi, and Bonham, and Keith Moon, and Jon Lord (who's not dead yet, just really really old). I can hear my grandma banging on heaven's walls: "keep it down, ya noisy bastards! I can't hear the bloody radio!"
Peter from The Netherlands

Maybe you were right, Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be, but you went too soon. You doing Back in Black would have kicked ass!!! Sorry about the circumstances of your death, too, mate. Drinkin' is supposed to be a HAPPY thing. Say 'Hi' to Jimi and Jim Morisson for me, Bon.
P.S.: I am now in a rock band at the age of 13. In a few years, I'll be cruisin' and boozin' too. Love from above.
John

Bon,
Such a tragic loss still brings a tear to any one's eye. The world shall forever be grateful for the legacy you left us through your music and charm. Rest in peace could never suit you, for even though it has been 24 years since your passing, a spirit such as yours could never die, and just as millions have done, I will carry and keep alive all that your restless and strong willed soul represented for the rest of my days, and thats a promise. God bless Bon and may you forever be kept alive in the hearts of your fans
Ace Comparato from Bethpage, New York

Bon, your the greatest... I hope I can one day visit your grave, but until then, this will have to do. I wish I had been alive when you had, so I could have at least been able to see you in person, but instead I've had to settle for pictures and all that... I promise that I will visit your grave and I will meet AC/DC, just so I could see people who met you...
Rock In Peace,
Katy Q. from Ohio, USA

Bon you where the best singer that I've ever seen...Ac/Dc is my best band...Rest in peace my friend.
Frane from Croatia

Hey Bon. It's a shame your gone. I've always wondered what AC/DC could have been like with you still alive and struttin' your stuff on stage. If I had one wish I know it would be for you not to die and still be the front man along with Angus in AC/DC. I am in a band called Vaylor and I sing as well and you are my fucking role-model and inspiration. Your words in your songs were just so great and had a twist to them. You were and still are the true voice of ROCK N' ROLL. I miss you and I wish i could have seen AC/DC play with you. Rock in peace Bon, rock in peace. Keith from California

Your last show in Liverpool in 1979, I missed the concert and it's too late to return back, But I know I'm gonna meet you one day with my thumb in the air.

Your the best man and your music has inspired me and taught me all about rock and roll. I listen to your music every day and I will never get tired of it. Rock in peace Bon.
Chris DaCosse from U.S.A

Even though I've never been to one of your concerts , or met you personally, Or even shook your hand, I feel I know you. It must be through your music. Im only 17, so you died before I had a chance to meet you, you and your music will not be forgotten, I'll do my bets to make sure of that.

24 years ago today.
Unbelievable.
Being born after you died, meeting you is the one thing, out of everything on this Earth, that I wish I could do, but will never get to. You went way too soon, but you gave so much. Ride On, Mr. Scott, we know you didn't truly die, you just found your truck
Adam Pickerill from Southern Indiana, USA

Yes Bon, you are a true legend, and AC/DC is the best band.
I have always loved you, and you're music, and even if it is 24 years since you left us you will live on forever
When I join you I want to be next to you on the great Highway to Hell
Ian Byers from Fremantle W.A.

Bon, it's been 24 years since you left us. I can't believe how fast time flies. I find myself listening to your music over and over again. I remember the first time I heard of AC/DC my sister had your first album and I listen to it over and over. I was one of the lucky ones to see you live in concert in Oakland, CA - Day on the Green "Monsters of Rock" the headliner was Ted Nugent. You and the band ROCKED!!! I situated myself two rows from the guard rail right in front of the band. I miss you. God Bless.
You'll never be forgotten.
