Blairgowrie Scotland - Top tribute band for Blair.
AC/DC tribute band AB/CD is to hit Blairgowrie
at the Gig on Saturday, June 16.
AB/CD have toured for a long time now as
AC/DC impersonators and are recognised as one
of the top tribute bands around, said local heavy
metal expert Jimmy Gazrock Low.
"They play material all through AC/DC's long
history -from their first album High Voltage to
more recent material in the 90s," said Gaz.
"Stand out tracks are Whole Lotta Rosie, Let
There Be Rock, The Jack, Problem Child, and
Hells Bells.
"The guitarist even dresses up as Angus Young I
and copies all his movements on stage. This is
definitely not a night for the faint hearted!
"It should be a memorable night for rock fans."

reknowned for his delicate, echoing voice and intensely personal lyrics has stripped the AC/DC classics apart and put his own slant on them.

Bonfire played Finke's in Chicago on 13th April 2000.
BonFire opened the show to a somewhat small, sober and quiet crowd. As the band settled into it's set, the crowd near the stage grew though and singer/guitarist Jim Hillegonds got them rocking and rowdy in no time. Hillegonds' picture perfect Bon Scott vocals were dead on throughout the night as BonFire plowed through their set of some of AC/DC's biggest hits and some of the cool rare cuts as well. Particularly good were "The Jack", "Beatin' around The Bush" and "Walk All Over You". The mix of AC/DC essentials and the previously mentioned rarer cuts, won the crowd over by mid set.

New Tribute album being recorded in Perth Western Australia
Seeing Ear (Rob), Pinnacle Recording Studios (Anthony) and Catalyst Ventures (David Cobbold) joined forces a couple of months back so that we could be a little more pro-active in the local scene.
Their first project is an AC/DC (Bon Scott) Tribute Album.
He's such an Australian Icon and, as he's buried in Perth (Fremantle), we felt it was a good idea to pay homage to both himself and the Band.
15 of Perth's best Bands have been selected and are currently two thirds of the way through recording them.
The Album should be completed by early December, with the Australian release scheduled for the 19th of February (20th Anniversary of Bon's demise).
We should have world wide distribution through Conquest (affiliation of Independents) and MP3's from our website.

According to NME, the BEASTIE BOYS compilation album,
The Sound Of Science does not include their first Def Jam single
'Rock Hard' because AC/DC have refused the band clearance to
use a sample from 'Back In Black'. "We originally had 'Rock Hard'
on there because it was never widely available," Mike D told NME.
"So we had to go back to AC/DC for sample clearance. Their lawyer
said no, so I decided to call them myself. So I tracked AC/DC down
in the studio in Vancouver and talked to Malcolm (Young, brother of
Angus). And they were just not having it. He goes, 'I'd love to do it for
you guys, but it's 'Back In Black' - one of the top three songs we've
ever written!' Whatever. AC/DC could not get with the sample concept.
They were just like, 'Nothing against you guys, but we just don't

The new BIG BALLS CD "LIVE AND HIGHVOLTAGED" is released.
It was recorded live in March 1999.
It contains twelve songs, for example LITTLE LOVER, TOUCH TOO MUCH which
was never performed live by AC/DC, RIDE ON, WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE, TNT, LET
THERE
BE ROCK and a very special version of an old scottish folk song LOCH
LOMAND
with Justus B.Pipe on bagpipes and two songs written by BIG BALLS.
