Review of the show Thank to Mitch (mitchum33@aol.com) taken from the newsgroup
The boston show was great, I was in sec 329, row 15... last row in the place, right beside the stage, almost behind the amps, so, the sound i got wasn't the best. but, they f**king rocked.

My fav. tune was Hard As a Rock... the video they played with that was amazing. and, the titties were everywhere!! the thing that got the crowd going, before they even had phills drumset onstage, some chic was going around the balcony, comming out of the runways in each section, flashin her boobies, jiggling, juggling, fondling, bouncing, touching, you get the point, anyhoo, she got the crowd into it! lol, standing ovation!

About slash... the singers voice i couldn't understand, but, he was a cool dude, slash had a nice hat, and the drummer was decent. all in all, i couldn't hear them, cause they sucked. the singer was pigeon toed, anyone notice?.

My first ACDC concert was as i expected, we took a walk around the north end, and boston commomn before the show with some family, had dinner in the north end, awesome pizza, and the people in sec 329 were awesome. one guy musta pulled out 10 joints to pass around. haha, one guy was so drunk, i caught him from falling 20 rows a few times. lol, it was great!

AC/DC still electrifies fans by Sarah Rodman Boston Herald

AC/DC at the FleetCenter, Boston, last night.
They may joke about aging but there was nothing creaky about last night's performance by AC/DC at the Fleet Center.

Lead singer Brian Johnson's sandpapery caterwaul might've been a little rough around the edges, but that's more likely because the Aussie quintet are just starting their tour for ``Stiff Upper Lip'' and he's blowing his voice out trying to be so energetic.

A few cracks in the mortar caused no pain for the amped-up crowd, however. Everyone from graying grandmothers to pimply preteens to yuppies exposing their inner burnouts to blue-collar guys sporting mullets raised their pinkies and pointers in unison for the hard-charging opener, ``You Shook Me All Night Long'' and didn't stop pumping their fists and chanting along until two hours later.

The band covered all their single-entendre blooze boogie classics from the lascivious bump and grind, ``The Jack,'' to the ``hell trilogy'': ``Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be,'' ``Hell's Bells'' and ``Highway to Hell.''

For the last two songs, the 30-foot bronze statue of guitarist Angus Young - he of the schoolboy outfit and blistering licks - that dominated the stage, sprouted red devil horns and glowing eyes. The clangorous ``Hell's Bells'' also found Johnson swinging from a mammoth bell that hung over a gangplank that ran down the center of the arena.

Young's crunching riffs are also still in place and the crowd thrilled to the heavy riffage of classic, 20-year-old tunes like ``Back in Black'' and the sinister ``Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap,'' as well as same sound/different decade tracks like ``New Satellite Blues.'' For those who still can rock, we salute you.

Former Guns 'N Roses axemaster Slash opened the evening with his new group, Slash's Snakepit. They were a nice warm-up for the main course.

Raucous AC/DC shakes FleetCenter all night long (Extract)

Imposters to the throne may come and go, but there's still only one AC/DC. With apologies to Aerosmith and Metallica, there's still no heavier arena-rock band than AC/DC, which defies age, gravity, and other dimensions every time it assaults a Boston audience.

The feeling was reciprocated last night - as a sold-out crowd of multi-aged head-bangers (a surprising number were women) stirred a deafening din that didn't let up from start to finish.

"We're back in Boston, guys! You can tell by the noise!" singer Brian Johnson said to his AC/DC mates after they baptized the crowd with the opening "You Shook Me All Night Long."

Boston....KICKED ASS.
Even Snakepit was cool.
Same setlist.

This is my first real big rock concert, but and I already think it's the best. Brian was on top of his game tonight, and voice sounded better than ever. Angus may have slowed down a little bit but he still rocks better than anyone else.

Two things on the videos and live albums I never liked: The strip and "The Jack"...they just seemed...BORING...

But when one is actually there, oh my god did I have a good fucking time. Singing the Jack was probably my favorite part of the whole thing. I wished it was longer.

Brian is funny. I like Brian. I actually gotta give him a huge amount of credit for last night's show. Angus is still the man but Brian really worked that crowd well and sang his fucking lungs out. I wish I could've gotten a picture of Angus on the rise thingie during Let There Be Rock when he playing one handed with a shiteating grin on his face, but I forgot to bring extra film and wanted to save my last picture for the cannons.

I didn't mind the setlist with YSM as an opener at all. Once I was there, pounding my fists with the rest of the crowd, I didn't give a f**k.

Tried to get autographs. Went out back to where the busses were and there was a security guy keeping everyone away. Then he ran off to for a few minutes, I think to bitch at some guy about getting his car out of way for the limos or something, and we just walked in, got behind the busses to where we had a great view and could see whereever the band walked out, and waited. A security guard walked by and shined his light on us, and we figured we were busted. Instead, he just said "How's it goin'." and walked away. Stupid me thought that meant he was cool with us being back there, so I ran over to him and said "Hey, when is the band coming out?" to which he said "Get out." He must've thought we were roadies before and left us alone. Some guy told us they went to Logan and would be there until 2 a.m. or so, but we didn't want to go all the way out there and find out he was full of shit, and we were too tired so we just went back to the hotel.
