They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. So it comes as no surprise that AC/DC tracks have been performed by other bands over the years. The recent addition to the never-ending list of bands that pay homage to AC/DC is the Various artists tribute album For those about to Rot from Dwell Records.

Dwell Records have strived to introduce eleven up and coming bands to the ears of the Rock fans through out the world , through the use of AC/DC's back catalogue. This unique album will introduce the listener to the world of less known bands like Canada's Lesser Known , Germany's Wastleland and Enertica from America.

Highlights of the album are Enertica's cover of Walk all over you , Lesser Known performing Dirty Deeds. Over note-worthy tracks are Back in Black by Dementia and the frantic cover of Riff Raff by Wastleland. On the down side some of the tracks featured lean more on the style of Death/Thrash metal and stray too far away from the bluesy Rock feel of AC/DC.

So for the brave out there that like to explore the wide and varied sound of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal this album may prove the vital stepping stone to the bands that record through Dwell Records. If you are looking for a carbon copy of an AC/DC album you may be disappointed as the bands all put their unique interpretation to their choice of AC/DC track.

The bands features on the album are as follows.
