| The Frozen Camels Project (mini Europe tour 2002)

On the end of November 2002 in the ISV Rock Club Sloga many rock fans heard great news: at December 1st, 2002 we going to have "Rock concert of the Year" when we going to see famous AC/DC bass player Cliff Williams, guitarist and great singer Danny Shepard, drummer Darrell Nutt, as well as leader of "Emir & Frozen Camels" band Emir Bukovica.
This was result of Emir's promise that he will bring to Bosnia-Herzegovina his original "Frozen Camels" crew who played on his album "San". Bosnian part of this mini tour started in town Zenica, in the club by the name HKD Napredak. Earlier we heard that many rock fans from the all over the Europe were going to come to the concert in Sarajevo. Many people were looking for tickets for this concert. Everybody was ready…
And concert started. Hour and half after originally time was set for the start on the stage of club Sloga we had chance to see Cliff Williams, star of the night, bass player from legendary band AC/DC, Danny Shepard, one of the best blues vocals on the Earth and Darrell Nutt, excellent drummer, famous for the studio work and cooperation with many great World musicians.
For Mr. Williams this was first music appearance out of his AC/DC band for the last 25 years and also his first visit to Bosnia-Herzegovina.
We had chance to hear music of Danny Shepard, several rock classics, as well as couple of songs from "Emir & Frozen Camels" band (among them "Ne pitaj me" and "Sarajevo, New York, Roma"). It was very interesting and very well mix of excellent music performances and different music styles.
Excellent performances by the "Frozen Camels Project" band proved that "Concert of the Year" and "Rock spectacle of the Year" were right names for this show. Audiences were very pleased and happy by the whole show. They prolonged this concert for the 10 minutes, calling band twice to perform encore songs.
Those legendary musicians made everybody happy and everybody in audience had great time. It was not just because of their fame and status in the rock world. It was also because of their attitude and obvious love and passion for music. In the front of us we could see people who truly enjoyed performing their music, we could see four guys who love to share their music and good vibrations with other people. Who ever was that night in club Sloga can feel it in each moment of their performance.
I just hope that Sarajevo didn't disgrace its self because of not many people on this concert. I don't have answer why we didn't have more people in the audience. It's fake excuse that ticket price was too high (15.00 KM), because some other concerts in this town, with some other kind of music usually bring more people in the audience.
Sarajevo fights by all possible force to prove that rock'n'roll is not dead in this town. It will continue to fight with affirmation of some new and fresh rock bands.

WU sarajevskom ISV Rock klubu Sloga, krajem novembra 2002. godine, cula se najava koja je obradovala sve rock fanove. Saznali smo da je za 01.12. 2002. godine planiran "Rock koncert godine", na kome treba da nastupe Cliff Williams (gitara), Danny Shepard (gitara i vokal) i Darrell Nutt (bubnjevi), a sve u organizaciji Emira Bukovice, frontman-a grupe Emir & Frozen Camels.
Emir je ovim nastupom ispunio obecanje da ce okupiti originalnu postavu sa svog albuma San i s njima nastupiti u Bosni i Hercegovini. Turneja je pocela koncertom u Zenici, 30.11.2002. godine, u klubu HKD Napredak. Za Sarajevo je bio najavljen dolazak fanova iz Evrope i receno je da se trazila karta vise. Ostalo je samo jos da koncert pocne.
I poceo je. Sat i po kasnije nego sto je bilo planirano, na binu Sloge izasli su Cliff Williams, zvijezda veceri i basista svjetski afirmisanog hard rock - sastava AC/DC, Danny Shepard, jedan od najboljih blues vokala koji postoje i Darrell Nutt, najbolji americki studijski bubnjar koji je stekao iskustvo na svirkama sa svjetskim rock zvijezdama.
Za Williams-a, ovo je bilo prvo nastupanje izvan maticnog benda za posljednjih 25 godina i prva posjeta Bosni uopste.
Imali smo priliku cuti Shepard-ove pjesme, obrade svjetskih rock hitova i nekoliko kompozicija grupe Emir & Frozen Camels (medu kojima su bile Ne pitaj me i Sarajevo New York Roma), odnosno, zanimljivu i vrlo vjesto izvedenu kombinaciju muzickih stilova.
Svirka koja je opravdala najavu rock spektakla godine trajala je sat vremena, a srdacni aplauz i povici publike produzili su nastup jos desetak minuta
Fenomenalan provod obezbjedile su nam tri muzicke legende, ali nije bila presudna njihova slava. Ono mnogo bitnije je sto su na nekoliko metara ispred publike stajala tri covjeka koja zive za ono sto rade. Muzika - to su oni sami, njihovo nenadmasno umijece, iskustvo, ljubav i dobre vibracije koje iz toga proizilaze i odusevljavaju sve koje ih osjete
Zato se nadam da se Sarajevo nije osramotilo sa maksimalno 80 ljudi koji su bili tu u nedjelju uvece. Ne znam razlog slabe posjete. Smijesno je uzeti za izgovor preskupu kartu (KM 15.00), dok se na neka druga mjesta ne moze uci iako je tamo potrebno tri puta vise novca za jedan izlazak uz drugaciju muziku.
Sarajevo se bori svim snagama da dokaze kako r'n'r nije mrtav u ovom gradu i radi na afirmaciji mladih rock bendova, koje cemo blagovremeno predstaviti i na web site-u www.bosnia.ba/muzika.
