| Emir & Frozen Camels - Znam (2003)
While the first album established the new name on the music scene and presented the American-European band, quite strange combination for this area, the second album confirmed their main feature: high quality in three aspects: music, song lyrics and production. The American part of the band, called "Frozen Camels Project", who had a mini-tour playing in Europe, again participated in the making and recording of the new album. On two songs you can find, as a guest vocal, Danny Shepard who has the reputation as the best male blues vocal in Florida, and for some music experts even the best white blues male vocal in the USA. All the songs, on the second album «Znam» are recorded in the USA in DSH and Translucent records studios in Florida. The vocals of the European guests on the album (Elvis J. Kurtovic, El Bahattee and Rambo Amadeus) as well as remix for the song «Sarajevo, New York, Roma» by Adi Lukovac & Ornamenti are recorded in Europe.
All the songs are written by Emir Bukovica, except cover of the legendary "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison, on which Emir wrote part of the lyrics. In general, the album "Znam" has a strong and furious rock sound, and the band is consistent in their intention to blend the alternative rock'n'roll «Foo Fighters-type» sound with the ethno sound which is minimally played mostly through the short guitar riffs and solos. On the album you can find one bonus track- a remix of the song "Sarajevo, New York, Roma" made by fantastic Adi Lukovac & Ornamenti. The music video of this song was already played on the Canadian MUCH TV. If we are to judge the album "Znam" according to the reactions of the first two singles- "Brown Eyed Girl" and "Tvoj Svijet" which were ranked very high on many music charts- it will be a true refreshment on the quite borring and barren rock scene in this part of the Europe. Finally, the European part of the band are: Ivan Vranjes (lead guitar), Jure Baljak (drums), Damir Vranesevic (bass guitar), Regi Okanovic (rhythm guitar) and, of course Emir Bukovica (vocal and guitar).
