Hailing from Deer Lick Holler, Tenn, Hayseed Dixie have come up with one of the most unusual
and interesting novel AC/DC tribute albums for some time.As legend would have it an out-of-town motorist crashed his car near the local town. As locals scavenged the wrecked vechicle they came across a heap of old AC/DC albums on the back seat. Although these unknown Appalachian music enthusiasts had never heard of AC/DC before they gave the records a play on an old record player and were hooked. One local was heard to exclaim "This is some mighty fine country music!" and the boys set upon learning the songs of AC/DC armed with their traditional instruments of choice: guitar, mandolin, banjo and fiddle. Hence the result of their efforts this tribute album is being released through DTR records. Despite an intial name change from "AC/Dixie" the band settled on the name Hayseed Dixie and are about to Rock the world Hillbilly Style. Hayseed Dixie from Tennessee, USA release their debut album entitled A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC on April 17 2001.
