Cologne Germany 2001 Review

STIFF UPPER LIP WORLD TOUR IS OVER !!! AND IT`S SAD !!

One more great show and it was 100 % AC/DC and show !! And there was one more big suprise !! They played "Gone Shootin´" instead of "Up To My Neck In You" and it was the first time with Brian live if you don´t count VH1 Studios 1996. They did "Gone Shootin´" GREAT and Brian said like this before the song,"We have rehearsed this one 45 min ago and it´s for all the fans travelling around in the world with us and it calls Gone Shootin".

It was raining a little bit during "Bad Boy Boogie" and Angus came out on our side and put his hand in the air and he thought "Is it raining ?!" ( That was funny Ha Ha !! ).

But that was all rain what I can remember and it didn´t disturb me anyway. So there were clouds but it was no wind so the sound was perfect what I could hear because I stood in the front-row on Cliffs side in front of the speakers. I´m glad I saw the last concert on this tour because you never know if there´s gonna be another tour again.

But I think, No worries !! Because I heard rumours that there will be another record and tour in about a few years again !!

Setlist :
1 Stiff Upper Lip
2 You Shook me..
3 Problem Child
4 Thunderstruck
5 Hell ain´t a bad place..
6 Hard as a Rock
7 Shoot to Thrill
8 R´n´R ain´t noise...
9 What do you do for Money Honey
10 Bad Boy Boogie
11 Hells Bells
12 GONE SHOOTIN´
13 The Jack
14 Back in Black
15 Dirty Deeds...
16 Highway To Hell
17 Whole Lotta Rosie
18 Let There Be Rock
Encore
19 TNT
20 FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK (WE SALUTE YOU) !!!!

I´m glad they ended with "For those.." and didn´t do any extra encore because I think it must be "For Those.." ending the last concert on the whole STIFF UPPER LIP WORLD TOUR !!!!

Review by Björn "Angus" Hellborg from Sweden

Just got back from the AC/DC concert in Cologne, Germany. IT WAS F**KIN FANTASTIC!! The only change in the setlist was that Brian sais: "We've rehearsed this song 35 minutes ago" and then they played GONE SHOOTING. I really love those old classics... too bad thay didn't play RIDE ON as they did in Paris, but it was a great gig.

I've seen the guys 4 times now and still no signs of aging, although sometimes, in between songs (with the lights out) I saw how Angus bent over and let his arms fall down as if he wanted to let them rest for a few seconds, but by the time the lights went back on he was already jumping around again as always.

(Rough Translation in English) AC/DC in Cologne

shortened hem of an item of clothing

KOLN AC/DC supplies with the dead trousers... well which probably? An impressive performance! Of Stephan Huebner

AC/DC in Cologne: An two-hour skirt concert, which earned this descriptor. (dpa)

Anbiedern is stupid. Nevertheless do it famous humans again and again. are glad soooo to be able to play today here?, heucheln Pop and skirt star of the planet around the bet, even if it it only on an obligation date in Fallingbostel rumschrammeln. Randy Crawford, the marvelous queen of the tear pushers, opened once a Munich concert with the record: evening, Frankfurt!? Tja.

In addition, there are Gegenbeispiele: sincere of tape, it is from all the same which sowas, where they play, main thing it plays. Against it the species which spoils itself it consciously with the home public, is rare. If with the AC/DC concert in the Muengersdorfer stadium of Cologne before 45.000 spectators the Duesseldorfer Radau Combo?Die dead trousers? the vorgruppe gives and from an old Westernhagen Song?Ich is glad that I am not a Cologner? makes, then that has class, maintenance value and represents somehow also a contribution for the people communication. For security young around Campino still the FC Bavaria Schmaehlied puts after, and one schwelgt together in the anti- Feeling. Haeme can be so beautiful.

AC/DC have neither nor the conventional route necessarily. does there skirt?Let? years one of their disks was called forwards zig, and the slogan applies also after 28 stage years still. Already with the Intro?Stiff Upper Lip? give singers Brian Johnson, Lead guitarist Angus Young and its brother Malcom the direction: straightforward.

One in music like sportily impressive performance follows. Angus Young hops, runs, zappelt and trembles two hours long: a physical performance of the 42-Jaehrigen, which lets all other chain smokers of this world breathe deeply hopeful. From larger distance the Scot works such as Oskar Matzerath, which exchanged and for a commitment as Zappelphilipp angeheuert its blechtrommel against a Gibson SG.

Jones reports meanwhile with friction iron voice of the large topics: Hand-held weapons and plastiksprengstoff, dirty women and sexual intercourse, as well as hell and spoiling.

Tape is able rarely to hold their public in such a way in travel: no Ballade, no recovery break for tape and listener. After scarcely two hours and an addition is everything past. And it ward skirt. With seam and foam. Hopefully not for the last time.

No siding, genuinly not.
