Fucking AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (you know the drill)

Let me just say the sound was awesome last night. Very loud and you could hear all the instruments. The sound was dryish, which is similar to the Ballbreaker tour (the Razors Edge I thought was a bit more wet/effects type of sound, but that was a while ago I suppose) Brian was buried in the mix sometimes, but then again the crowd was singing the whole way through so who really knows.

Biggest SHOCK OF THEM ALL IS: Malcolm broke a string during one of the numbers and finished the Song PLAYING AN SG. I SHIT YOU
NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY??? Who knows, it didn't affect the sound at all.

The ticker-tape thing at the end was awesome!!!!!!

Report for 11th Feb 2001. Rod Laver Arena

Points:

o there at around 8ish. Living End were already playing. They were serving heavy
beers and there was a shitload of

people buying them. Plenty of great merchandise, which I got signed later on!

Meeting the BAND!

- Cliff came out early around 12ish.
- He gladly pulled over and jumped out and signed stuff for us
- Stubbed his cigarette out on the ground, which I souvenired...then lost! (I
made up for it later)
- Very nice bloke, he allowed us to take photos with him.
- Some guy gave him some scotch, which he took and was VERY thankful for
- After being asked if he was tired/knackered he said "yeah I'm getting that
way"
- Some guy was so nervous he said "g'day Phil!" and Cliff just calmly goes, "Its
Cliff actually"

- Long wait (seemed like it)

- an american security guard came over and told us to line up. He was ignored by
everybody including Angus, who jumped

out of the van and goes "all right where is this line?" and then promptly didn't
give a crap as he signed whatever

with who-ever in any damn order. He is as small as they say! Got some photos and
had him sign heaps of stuff

(t-shirts, programs). I told him I wanted his cigarette when he's done and he
just laughed! Excellent bloke!
- Then out of nowhere Malcolm came over and everyone started shouting his name.
He signed heaps of stuff and was in a

very happy mood, making jokes etc etc. I asked him about his "thick" stings on
his guitar (he was signing over it for

a fan) and he goes "Yeah for a really thick bloke!"
- My camera didn't work when taking a pic of Malcolm and he goes, "ahh, you've
gotta get a better camera mate!
- I also asked him if he was tired and he goes, "yeah I'm a bit knackered mate"
- Brian drove by without signing anything, but nobody noticed cause they were
really busy with Angus/Malcolm
- Malcolm said that Phil had his young kids with him and wouldn't be able to
stop - No problem
- And of course I got Angus' cigarette butt. I told ya I made up for it.
