Oberhausen, October, 28 On Saturday morning I woke up at 7 o´clock in the morning feeling very nervous because it was the first time after nearly 5 years to see the boys again - bet all of you had the same feelin :-) It was hard to see how long a day can be when you´re waitin´ for the best band of the world. A friend of mine who is not so much into AC/DC came with me when we started at 6 o´clock to Oberhausen. Reachin´ the parking area near the Arena the grim in my stomach finally stopped - because I heared DDDDC loudly played from a van parking near to us. Yeah, now I knew it was not only a dream - but I was about to see the boys in almost an hour. So I prepared myself for the gig and put on my leather jacket and my jeans jacket with all the AC/DC patches on it. Reachin´ the arena there were hundreds of people waitin for entrance- most of ´em in ´DC T-shirts. So we entered the arena. I was really pissed ´cause we had only tix for seats and not for the inner room (in Europe there are no seats in the inner room!). But with a trick we managed to pass the security and finally got into the inner room. I was damn happy and immediatly went to Malcolms site (I think its the much better position than Cliffs site). We managed to get in the 3rd row although it was already 20 min. before the support started. On 8 o´clock "Hugebaby" started to play and they were really bad. I won´t mention them again... After 26 min. staring at the floor and lurking for some babes around the support had finshed. The crew did their job and at 9 o´clock lights went down and the masses raised went wild! This crew man came out and announced the boys (ya know it, but it´s so nice): "Here is the band you´re waitin´ for. Are you ready for AC/DC?" The band entered the stage and blew us away, hehehe The setlist was the same as the gigs before:
1. You Shook Me All Night Long I was so impressed by the power they still got after all these years. Brian really got stronger with every year. He´s a hell of a frontman. Angus slowed down a bit but still is a hurricane and it´s unbelievable how this guy manages to do his thing for two hours every day on tour!!! Malcolm, Phil and Cliff - tight as ever - perfect! The crowd was not too wild so I had a good view on the stage - I was only about 3 meters away! During SUL Brian went on the ramp and shook many hands. He was so nice. He and the band really had a good time and you could see the grin on their faces. There was no flashin´ during the jack, sorry. But it was a hell of a gig. And everyone was satified as having two hours nonstop sex, hehehe. My friend didn´t get his mouth shut cause he was too impressed. He told me that he never seen such fantastic thing before. I said to him that I was feelin the same when I saw them for the first time back in 1982 on the cannon and bell tour.
