Pittsburgh Civic
Centre - 6th August 2000
Photographs taken by Chris Lantz visit his homepage Well they have done it again. They keep showing us why they are the best ever!!! Last night was unbelieveable. The set list stayed the same, no changes there. For those going to the show in Canada, have fun and don't worry Brian looked great!!! He was dancing around all night, even during Angus's solo. The boys kicked some ass. There were two parts that I want to share. During "Shook Me" there was a little problem with Malcom's amp. It was out for just a short time. But then before "Shot Down in Flames" it went. It was dead, so during the dead time angus gave a a few chords and Brain gave us some words. Then just as they put the new one in, which only took like a minute or two at max, Brian said, "Fuck it, lets play it anyway!!!". Then Malcom riffed into the song and the boys kicked some ass. One other thing that happened was during "Hells Bells" the big screen was showing girls in the crowd. This one girl lifted up her shirt while Brian was on the runway. The whole crowd went nuts. He was confused and turned around, but she was off the screen already, so Brian says to us "Hey what did I miss". Then later on in the song he gets a couple looks at the screen while some girls had their boobs exposed. This one girl was rubbing herself and playing with her boobs. At the end of the song, brian went up to her and told her that she had nice tits. I was laughing. He is the best. The rest of the show was amazing!!! It was just a great great concert. Everyone who is going to see then soon, give them the respect that they deserve!!! They are the best. Oh yea one more thing, sorry this is so long. When we were leaving the concert in the halls of the Fleetcenter, I was screaming and chanting "Angus, Angus, Angus" well the chat had died down for a little while and I hear this guy talking to his wife. He said to her "Who is Angus?" I just wanted to kick him in the head and yell in his face that "Angus is the brother of Malcom, and together they are the greatest guitarists ever!!!" What a dumb ass. Well anyway everyone enjoy the concerts, I will be seeing them again in New Jersey, so I can't wait!!! Keep Rockin, Cause the boys are back in town!!! Nick greco
Another review this time by Mark
Pitts highlights...met acdcfn and Kiss Army Bob and jgbintbass. Good
people! Was walking around the arena, and heard some 'DC playing. Listened closer,
and it was them, doing sound check!! Got dcfn and Bob, and we were
listening just inside the ticket office(outside the concourse) Thrill of the tour
when they busted out with RIFF RAFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, my boo-boo was thumpin'
in time with that tune! I've never heard it live, and some may argue if this
counts, but what a thrill!! Ran into a guy who asked me about my shirt, he
is a big fan, and he took me to the hotel the guys were staying at!!!
After waiting outside the place for a couple hours, got to get another pic with
Mal, one with Cliff and one with Brian, along with the autographs of those
I didn't have on my shirt, and Angus drew an Angus Devil under his sig!! All
except Phil, he walked past with a pained expression on his face. Brian
mentioned he wasn't feeling well, a cold or something(Brian had the cold,
not Phil). The guys were fabulous, tho, talking and LISTENING to the
fans!!
The show...Same set, except they missed NSB, then went back to do it right
after The Jack. I was hoping that, when they missed it, the set changed
and they were going to do Riff Raff, but maybe someone else will be lucky
enough to hear this classic.
When talking with Brian, I mentioned how he threw the
band for a loop with the second crowd-singalong during The Jack. He said "
Yae, Oi relly fooked 'em up" I said how it all worked out, because of the
girl flashing the camera, he said they'd have to do it again then. And,
they did!!! So, everyone that sees breastages for the remainder of the tour
during the second sing-along, feel free to take ten dollars out of your
pocket, and send it to me heh-heh! As acdcfn said, Brian was hurting much
of
the show. He had a cold or virus, and it showed a little in his voice. I
noticed him hacking and blowing snot in the first part of the show a
couple times, then during NSB, he started holding his right side. The pain
doubled him over a couple times, but he kept on going! You could see him gritting
his teeth, grimacing, breathing hard, but that tough fucker WOULD NOT
QUIT!!! My already high respect for him went through the roof watching him
during this show. What a class act!!!!! Hell, he was doubled over and
clutching his side during BIB, then during HtoH, he was high-fiving fans,
jumping, dancing, anything to make the show for the fans. I can't describe
enough how this affected me (and I can hear some of you thinking that I
already have, in too much detail heh-heh).
The only other thing I want to say is "What a long, strange trip it's
been"
Mark alias Erbacide
It was reported that during the Pittsburgh gig that Brian seemed to be in some pain as was seen to clasping his side. As it proved out Brian only had a stitch and it was nothing major. This did not detract from his vocal performance which was quoted as being awesome. A fan's meeting with Brian after the gig - Brian said he had a bad stitch during the show which could have been as bad as a slightly pulled abdominal muscle. He worked through it though and was as jovial as ever at the meet & greet, still amazed at the wonderfull breasts he saw down front earlier in the evening.
