Kirriemuir Angus Scotland

Birth place and Home town of Roland (Bon) Belford Scott 9th July 1946. Please note that Bon's birth certificate lists Forfar as his place of birth , Forfar is approximately 4 miles from Kirriemuir. It was Kirriemuir that Bon spent his early years a fact that he was proud of. Prove of this can be found by listening to the interview extract on the CD Bon Scott with the Spektors (A Historical Document) were Bon corrects the TV presenter when stating details of his home town.

Kirriemuir Museum - Kirriemuir Museum has recently opened and includes references to Bon Scott. more details

The picture on the left is of Reform Street School, Kirriemuir , where a young Bon Scott went to school. The school closed in 1977 and was late demolished. Nowdays the Lyell Court Sheltered housing complex was built on the site.

Glasgow Scotland
Birthplace of both Angus and Malcolm Young. The Young family stayed in this Scottish City before emigrating to Australia.

Kirkcaldy Scotland
It was in Kirkcaldy that Charles (Chick) Scott met Isobelle (Isa) Cunningham, they later married in 1941 and settled in Kirriemuir after Charles had received his discharge from the British Army in 1945.
Needless to say that Chick and Isa are Bon's parents

Aberdeen Scotland
