Dave Evans

Over the years information on certain rare tracks have leaked out. Sometimes these tracks have been b-Sides to singles , non-worldwide releases un-released , illegal bootleg recordings or otherwise. It is not known for certain how much material is hidden away stored in vaults. These tracks and rumours of possible others have left the AC/DC die-hards yearning for their release to complete the definitive recorded collection.

Below I have tried to list a few of these rare recordings relating to the Dave Evans period of the band.

Dave Evans era rare tracks

Can I sit next to you girl / Rockin in the Parlour - This was the first ever single and was released in Australia in 1974. It features Dave Evans on vocals on both tracks.

It is also reported that AC/DC recorded a version of the track Rock n Roll singer with Dave Evans before Bon joined the band. The track is reported to have different lyrics and was recorded at the same sessions as the Rockin in the Parlour and Can I sit next to you single.

Around about the time that Dave Evans was in the band the set list also included Old Bay Road (A Malcolm Young composition) , Sunset Strip (Which was later tyransformed in Show Business) , Fell in Love (Which was later transformed into Love Song) and a track titled Midnight Rock. It is unlikely that these tracks were recorded in the original form.
